The worst piece of advice I've ever received is to follow the money.
Of course we work to be compensated and as odd as that may sound,
especially for myself being in sales.
The grass is not always greener on the other side.
I've had a couple of, well I had one scenario specifically where I wasn't
thrilled with where I was working before.
There was another company that was willing to offer more money.
And when I had pursued that opportunity, it was just very disorganized.
The organization did not know or have a good trajectory of where they wanted to
 go from a growth aspect.
And the stress was not worth the compensation that I was receiving at that time
.
So I would say it would be more beneficial for you to love where you're working
,
to have fair compensation, and to have a company that respects your work-life
 balance versus not.

The worst career advice was to follow the money, as job satisfaction and a good work-life balance are more important.
