What's the best career advice you've received?

Protect your energy by setting boundaries to avoid burnout and maintain productivity.

One of the best career advice I have received and I regret that I received it
very late in my career is to protect your energy. Set your boundaries and make
sure your teammates understand them and respect them because otherwise you will
burn yourself out and you will be no good to anybody on your team or yourself
or your family. So protect your energy if you need a day or more than one day
blocked out for your work and focus time. Do that and stick to it. Make sure
 your
team understand that it's you are still open to collaboration on any other day.
You are open to meetings but you would want your time and boundaries protected.

The best career advice received was to protect your energy by setting boundaries, preventing burnout, and ensuring teammates respect these limits.
